# How to Set Up Your First Project in DotSuite

A step-by-step guide to adding your domain, selecting target countries, and launching your first SEO dashboard.

---

## Overview

After completing your sign-up and payment process, DotSuite will guide you to create your first project.

Your project is the core of your SEO workspace — this is where your dashboards, keyword insights, competitor tracking, and all analytics begin.

This guide explains exactly how to set up your project correctly.

---

## Step 1 — Start Your First Project Setup

Immediately after successful payment, you will be redirected to the Create Your Project screen.

What you see depends on your plan:

### ✅ Startup Plan / Business Plan

- You can create 1 project.
- This must be your primary domain.
- Project domain cannot be changed later.

### 🏢 Agency Plan

- You can create your first project here.
- Your plan includes up to 10 total projects.
- Remaining 9 projects can be created anytime through:

👉 Dashboard → Settings → Projects

---

## Step 2 — Enter Your Website Details

On the Project Creation screen, you will be prompted to enter:

### 1. Your Website URL

- Enter your domain correctly (example: https://example.com).
- ✔ Important: You cannot change this later, because your dashboard, keywords, rankings, and competitor analysis are tied to this domain.

### 2. Primary Target Country

Choose the main country where you want to analyze SEO performance.

Example:

- United States
- India
- United Kingdom
- Australia
- Canada

(and many more…)

### 3. Primary Language

Select the primary language in which your audience searches.

This helps generate accurate ranking data and keyword insights.

---

## Step 3 — (Optional) Add More Countries & Languages

After creating your project:

- You can add up to 4 additional target country/language variations.
- Each variation generates its own dedicated SEO dashboard for that location.
- This is ideal for:
  - Multi-market websites
  - eCommerce stores operating in different regions
  - SaaS tools targeting global audiences

You can add these additional dashboards inside as shown below:

👉 My Dashboard → + icon from menu → Target Countries/Languages

---

## Step 4 — Create the Project

Once all fields are filled:

- Click Create Project (or the equivalent action button).
- The system will process your data.
- You will be redirected to your Project Dashboard.

---

## Step 5 — Explore Your Brand-New Dashboard

Once your project is created, you will land on an insights-rich dashboard showing:

- Keyword rankings
- Page-level performance
- Competitor suggestions
- Opportunity insights
- Trends
- Traffic potential
- And more…

Your full SEO workspace is now active.

---

## Important Notes

- ✔ The domain cannot be changed later — ensure it is correct.
- ✔ The number of projects allowed depends on your plan.
- ✔ Additional country/language dashboards are optional but recommended for multi-region websites.
- ✔ You can edit other project details anytime from Settings.
